A Quiet Place to Gather the Family Papers
When families face questions about inheritance and estate matters, the first challenge is usually the paperwork. Almsgate sits at the beginning of that process — sorting documents, writing up what is there, and helping you arrive at a qualified professional's door with your questions already formed.
What We Offer
Three Gates Into the Courtyard
Each service is purely documentary and clerical. No advice, no valuation, no interpretation — only careful organisation and preparation so your family can move forward with clarity.
Referral Preparation Session
A single one-hour appointment where the family writes the questions it wants to bring to a qualified professional, and gathers the documents usually requested at such a meeting. We prepare — we do not advise.
- Printed question sheet for your appointment
- Document checklist tailored to your matter
- Written session record you keep
- Directory of registered practitioners across Selangor
Courtyard Sorting
Three appointments in which the family's own papers are sorted by type and date, indexed, labelled, and mirrored to storage the family controls. Purely clerical — no valuation, interpretation, or advice on any item.
- Bound file with full contents page
- Written gap list of what appears to be missing
- Naming convention for ongoing use
- Maintenance sheet so the family keeps the file current
Full Documentation Engagement
Four months of monthly work producing an indexed register, a dated chronology, provenance notes, and a neutral summary written for handover. Documentation only — nothing valued, nothing interpreted, nothing sent in anyone's name.
- Bound register with digital mirror
- Dated chronology drawn from your documents
- Monthly review meetings included
- Practitioner directory for the Klang Valley
Why Almsgate
The Courtyard Before the Gate
Families arrive at professional offices far better prepared when someone has already helped them sort what they hold.
Documents in Order
Papers sorted, indexed, and named so that nothing is mislaid when it matters most.
Questions Already Formed
A session spent writing questions saves hours in a professional's waiting room and keeps appointments focused.
No Advice, No Liability
We do clerical work only. Legal, financial, and tax matters remain entirely with the qualified professionals you choose.
Family-Paced Work
Appointments are scheduled around your family, not rushed. Grief and distance are understood here.
Your Storage, Always
Every digital copy is mirrored to storage the family controls. We hold nothing longer than the engagement requires.
A Record You Can Keep
Bound files and written summaries produced to a standard that professionals across Selangor and the Klang Valley can read at a glance.
Where Would You Like to Begin?
A single session is enough for some families. Others need the whole record built from the ground up. Either way, the first step is a conversation about what you have and where you are in the process.

Common Questions
Questions at the Gate
What does Almsgate actually do?
Almsgate sorts, indexes, and documents a family's own papers. We write up what is there, note what appears to be missing, and help the family prepare the questions it wants to bring to a solicitor, estate administrator, or financial planner. We do not give advice on any matter that requires a professional licence.
Do you provide legal or financial advice?
No. Every service at Almsgate is purely clerical and documentary. We do not value assets, interpret legal instruments, advise on tax, or communicate in anyone's name. We prepare your file and your questions so that the qualified professionals you engage can work as efficiently as possible.
Which service is right for our family?
If you have an upcoming appointment with a solicitor or administrator and want to arrive prepared, the Referral Preparation Session (RM 480) is a good starting point. If your papers are scattered and need proper sorting before anything else, Courtyard Sorting (RM 1,860) handles that across three appointments. For families dealing with a large or complex archive, the Full Documentation Engagement (RM 4,020) builds a complete indexed record over four months.
How long does each service take?
The Referral Preparation Session is a single one-hour appointment. Courtyard Sorting takes place across three appointments, typically scheduled over two to four weeks. The Full Documentation Engagement runs for four months with a monthly meeting each month.
Where are appointments held?
We work from our premises at 6 Jalan Puchong, Bandar Puteri, 47100 Puchong, Selangor. Families who prefer to work with their papers on-site may discuss arrangements when they book.
What happens to our documents and copies after the engagement?
Every digital copy produced during any service is mirrored to storage the family controls — not held on our systems beyond the working period. At the close of an engagement, we provide the bound file, any digital mirrors, and confirm that no copies remain in our possession.
Can Almsgate recommend a solicitor or estate administrator?
We provide a directory of registered practitioners in Selangor and, for longer engagements, the Klang Valley. This is a factual list of names and contact details drawn from public registries. We do not endorse or make referrals to specific individuals, and any choice of professional is entirely the family's own.

A Note on What We Can Discuss
We can speak freely about document sorting, file preparation, and how our sessions work. We cannot offer opinions on legal instruments, asset values, tax positions, or professional choices. Those conversations belong with the practitioners your family appoints.
